BJP Union Minister Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu, needs no introduction in the Indian politics. He is one among the senior members of the BJP party and has served in various positions in his long tenure of political career. Now NDA government has nominated Venkaiah Naidu as its candidate for Vice President.

We @AbhiStory will take you through the profile of Venkaiah Naidu, who was born on 01st July 1949 to Rangaiah Naidu and Ramannama, an agriculture family from Chavatapalem, a small village  in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Naidu has completed his primary education in Nellor district and attended VR College to pursue his BA Political Science. Further, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Law from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

He married to Smt. Usha and the couple has 2 children.

During his college days he got attracted towards politics and worked as Swayamsavak in RSS ( Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ). He got into limelight as a great orator during his public meetings at Vijayawada and Nellore. He has joined in ABVP and got elected as student’s union president in Andhra University. In 1978, he got elected to AP assembly for the first time. There after he got elected as MLA twice from Udayagiri Constitution. From 1980 to 1983 he served as vice president of All India BJP Yuvajan Sangh.

He served as president of AP BJP Party during 1988-1993, afterwards he crowned various positions in the state. In the year 1998, he got elected to Rajyasabha from Karnataka State.

During September 2000 – June 2002 , he served as minister for Ministry of Rural Development in the Vajpayee’s Govt. In 2002 July, he was appointed as a National President of BJP and continued till 2004 October.

Since 2014, he is a cabinet minister for department of communications and urban development in Narendra Modi’s govt. Venkaiah Naidu has achieved greater heights in Indian politics and also actively involved in many social service activities. He has organized certain social service programs through SwarnaBharathi trust in telugu states.
