Veteran Film Maker Dasari Narayana Rao passes away on Tuesday evening at KIMS, Hyderabad. He was 75.
Indian Film Industry is shocked and deeply saddened by the news of dasari’s demise. It’s biggest lose to the Telugu Film Industry.
Darasi Narayana Rao born on 4th May 1942 at Palakollu of West Godavari District in Andhrapradesh. He was a BA graduate and very much fond of acting since his college days itself.
He was instrumental in the development of Telugu Film Industry for the past 40 years. Mr. Rao directed about 150+ films and Limca Book of Records holder too.
Besides the direction, he also played character roles and contributed dialogues and songs for more than 250 films.
His direction career has been started with a telugu film “Thaata Manavadu” and last film he directed is “Errabassu”. He is credited to work with two generations of top heroes in Telugu Film Industry.
Dasari introduced many artists and technicians to Telugu Film including Dr. Mohan Babu, R Narayana Murthy, Kodi Ramakrishna etc.
He was also member of Rajya Sabha and worked as Central Deputy Minister for Coal and Mines in Congress Govt.
