The state-owned airlines Air India has announced it’s decision of discontinuing the serving of non-veg food to domestic economy class passengers, however they will continue to provide non-veg for economy class fliers in it’s international service.
In a statement, AI says the decision is made to put an end to the wastage of food, reduce the cost and enhance the catering services.
According to the carrier, vegetarian foods are more in demand.
The airline is burdened with debt of Rs. 52,000/- crores and piling up its losses over past few years.
